- 7 hours of sit-ups, or
- 7 hours of push-ups, or
- 18 hours of jumping jacks, or
- 4.5 hours of running, or
- 21 hours of walking
What that means is, to burn 1 pound of fat, you have to do:
- 1 hour of sit-ups per day for 1 week, or
- 1 hour of push-ups per day for 1 week, or
- 2.5 hours of jumping jacks per day for 1 week, or
- 40 minutes of running per day for 1 week, or
- 3 hours of walking per day for 1 week.
The average American watches 4/5 hours of television per day. If you walk for just three of those television-viewing hours (it’s easy to use the treadmill while watching T.V.), then in 1 week you’ll have burned off an entire pound of fat.
